Raw Food for Kittens
Kittens grow fast and need frequent, calorically-dense meals. Raw can be a great fit if you feed often enough, choose protein with adequate taurine, and transition gently.
Feeding frequency
Kittens 4–6 months: 3–4 meals per day, sized to ~6% of body weight daily. After 6 months, you can drop to 2–3 meals.
Taurine
Taurine is essential for cats. Whole muscle meat (especially heart) and our organ pack keep taurine levels in range. We'll flag a kitten plan to add the organ pack by default.
Transitions
Cats can be picky. Slightly warm food (not cooked), top with a familiar topper for the first week, and ramp ratios over 10 days.
