Raw Food for Puppies
Puppies have higher caloric needs per pound than adult dogs. Growth diets also have different nutrient targets than adult maintenance. We have not completed a veterinary-nutritionist review of a puppy formula — talk with your veterinarian before changing a puppy's diet.
Daily portion math
We feed puppies roughly 5–8% of body weight per day, split across 3 meals until 6 months, then 2 meals after. Our quiz handles the math automatically when you select Puppy and enter age in months.
Frequency & cadence
Puppies often eat more frequently than adults (three meals until about 6 months is common). Our planned delivery cadence is still every two weeks on Fridays — more meals come from the same box, not a separate weekly route, unless we publish a different cadence later.
Transitioning from kibble
Use the gradual ramp from our transition guide. Watch stool quality — that's the best early signal.
When to involve your vet
Puppies under 8 weeks should not start raw without a veterinarian conversation. Toy breeds prone to hypoglycemia need closer feeding intervals. The quiz flags young ages so you can talk with your veterinarian before changing the diet. There is no instant paid signup today.
